Professor Katharyne Mitchell wins Guggenheim Award
ISS is delighted to announce that Professor Katharyne Mitchell has just won a prestigious Guggenheim award. The support from the foundation will allow her to research the nature of sanctuary and the role of faith-based movements in migration policy and human rights discourse in contemporary Europe. This new work clearly connects with Professor Mitchell’s long-standing interests in social justice and the city – about which she is teaching this quarter in ISS. As such, this Guggenheim award news also underlines how our ISS courses – unlike many other online programs – offer connections with world class researchers.
