Congratulations to ISS's own Frances McCue! Her newest book of poetry, “Timber Curtain,” was released this year. The book is a companion to the film “Where the House Was,” a documentary still in production about the history and demolition of Hugo House, an important literary arts organization in Seattle. McCue was one of the three original founders of Hugo House.
The film, "Where the House Was," is being made in collaboration with Ryan Adams, the talented UWPCE videographer who has made several of the ISS and other online course videos.
Frances McCue is a Senior Lecturer in English and ISS, and also teaches in the UW College Honors Program. You can read more about Frances McCue here.
