Aimee Kelly, Adviser of the Year!

Aimee Kelly, Assistant Director of Academic Services and Academic Adviser in ISS, is one of six UW Undergraduate and Graduate Advisers who were selected as 2019-20 Advisers of the Year! Selections were made by the UW's APAC Board (Association of Professional Advisers and Counselors) to recognize UW advisers who have gone above and beyond in their service to UW students and the UW advising community. With over 180 academic departments at UW (many with multiple advisers) this is a high honor.

Not only is Aimee a fantastic adviser and a key member of the ISS Core leadership team, but this broader campus recognition is primarily for her outstanding work during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. She, along with the Online Advising Group, have been putting in extra time and Herculean efforts to help their fellow advising colleagues to quickly adapt from on-campus to online advising. This work has included a comprehensive website full of information and tools for advisers, instructional videos, and regular, online meetings.

Hooray for Aimee Kelly, who was also nominated earlier this year for the prestigious Distinguished Staff Award!

Congratulations also to Nancy Sisko (English), Nicole Minkoff (Chemical Engineering), Scott Weatherman (College of Education), Jenni Campbell (Early Care and Education), and Joe Eckert (Master of Library and Information Science).
