Join us for an illuminating panel discussion with Integrated Social Sciences alumni Ramón Bentley, Chiwa Lee, and Jessica Anderson. Ramón, Chiwa, and Jessica will discuss their paths into, through, and beyond ISS, and reflect on the process of creating their portfolios and how it prepared them for their next steps. They will also answer attendee questions.

About our panelists

Ramón Bentley(BA, Integrated Social Sciences, 2019) is the Co-Director of Techqueria, a nonprofit serving the largest global community of Latiné professionals in tech. Techqueria's mission is to empower Latiné professionals and support their advancement in the tech industry. By providing resources and support, Techqueria makes a positive impact on the careers and leadership potential of Latiné professionals in the technology sector. 

Chiwa Lee(BA, Integrated Social Sciences, 2023) earned his second BA in 2023 through Integrated Social Sciences and is now pursuing an MA in French and China Studies through UW's Jackson School of International Studies. Chiwa is a FLAS (Foreign Language Area Studies) fellow in French, and his research focuses are the political economy and sociological bases of China-Canada tensions and environmental issues related to Canada and the Arctic region. 

Jessica Anderson (BA, Integrated Social Sciences, 2023) will enter the MA Food Studies program at the American University-Rome this fall. Jessica's goal is to land a career advancing policy changes in food systems to help the world shift away from agro-chemical and industrial agriculture to more biodiverse farming systems. Jessica credits Professor Rebakah Daro Minarchek's course, Political Economy of the World Food System, with inspiring this path.
